January 19, 2009. The Nectar Town Council, at its regular January meeting, approved Otelco’s request for a Television franchise within the Town Limits. The Blountsville Telephone Company has begun the necessary technical and infrastructure improvements to begin offering Digital IPTV within the Nectar Town Limits as quickly as possible. Deployment is expected to begin within the next 60 days. Customers who can be served in the initial roll-out will be contacted directly, but interested Nectar residents are encouraged to contact Otelco’s Blountsville office at 205-429-4141 for more information.
